What is an ammusing torture?
Context
"This was because they would have to chain her to a 12 foot pole and ____________________ before she allowed three strangers to guard her 24 hours a day."
Please remember that the torture;
- must not already exist.
- must not involve tecnology, if possible.
- should be AMMUSING... obviously.
- Must be appropriate. It is in the context of a 10 yr old girl

Gosh, that question sounds barbaric!
Yes, it does rather! lol.
Um - what do you mean by 'amusing'? Amusing for her, or amusing for the torturers? And is it meant to hurt? Cause if so, how on earth is it amusing?
very tentative suggestion...:
tickled by a feather (have you ever had that done to you for a long time? It actually does start to hurt!)
like the tickeing thing...that's what I mean by ammusing
not actually hurting her, but say if she really doesn't like classical music for example, they play it for hours on end... type of thing.
Read Picnic at Hanging Rock to her! (or equivalent)
oh, that is the STRANGEST book! Have you seen the film??
NO!!MAKE HER WATCH THE FILM!!!
it is one of THE MOST ANNOYING FILMS!!
The book is much much worse.
I'm afraid I have to agree with you, Katus - the book is just bizarre. But then, so is the film!
Compromise - she has three days, right? Read her the book out loud with no pauses, and THEN make her watch the film. Mu ha ha ha. And keep poking her with the feather to make sure she is not asleep or distracted. It's foolproof!
hehe...Thanks, but incase you didn't yet notice, it's for my novel... I said lack of tecnology...also think lack of our own personal culture.
Something more general that other cultures may be able to relate to.
For reference, Merrin is self relyant, with a touch of class. Unlike the people around her she does not want to be made an image of state. She want's simplicity...maybe she can open a shop of some sort. She will get married young. She constantly jokes about Dearan an Tanya, and has a sweet yet sarcastic, playful yet annoying. She does for the record like traditional music...all things to do with old Earth.
Now come on people...How can we torture her!!! hehe
I think is missed out words in that description
